Oak Glen

Today the girls and I headed up to Oak Glen for a day of yummy lunch, animal visits and apple picking with their grandma (aka Mimi) and great-.grandma. We had a great time - the girls LOVED the small little zoo they had - they were able to feed the animals making it a really new experience!

My personal favorite part of the day was the YUMMY apple cider mini-donuts. MMMMM! I could have eaten 2 dozen of them!

Another great part was also the actual picking of the apples. We stopped at a small little family owned farm and filled our bag full of apples that will soon be turned into a delicious apple crisp. I can just smell it now!

4 + 1 = 5

In less than 4 short months our family will officially be a "party of five". Although I have been pregnant for almost 24 weeks I still can't believe that we will have 3 kids!

This pregnancy hasn't been the kindest to me (not that the girls were fantastic) but I am so thankful for this little guy growing in me. I am falling in love with him more and more as his due date draws near!

Our girls are very excited for his arrival as well. They know that there is a baby in there and I'm pretty sure that Abby gets it. She even knows that he will "come out in my pants". (Strange description huh?) I often wonder though, how adding another child to our family will change the dynamic. There will certainly be a season of adjustment but one that we know God will walk us through with much love and grace. I just pray that I will be able to be just as loving and graceful to my girls when I am dog tired ;)

So what will this little guys name be? Well, we aren't 100% yet - although I think we are settled on his name. We call him the name we are considering and the girls do as well but I think that until we are 100% we'll keep it on the DL. Sorry :( But I will update you when we are ready to share!

Another Blog?

Yeah well, I can't help myself. With our ever expanding family and the lack of an active blog I figured I should create a brand new family blog. I hope to keep this one public - unlike my original family blog that I made private a few years back. Once it went private I kinda just gave up on it (sorry to those of you who followed it and kept logging in to look for new updates - so not nice of me!).

But keeping this one public will mean that I'm much more selective in the images I'll post of my family and some of the details I share but I will still use it as an awesome outlet to share (and record) all the fun stuff going on in our soon to be "party of five".
